What to look for in a budget winter jacket
- Hood: useful for wind and light rain; detachable is more flexible.
- Length: parkas cover more and feel warmer on two-wheelers.
- Lining and fill: often not listed in detail at this price. Read the product page and reviews.
- Zip and cuffs: elastic or ribbed cuffs keep wind out.
- Washing: check the care label; many padded jackets need gentle or hand washing.
Note on ratings
We have not tried these jackets on, and we do not invent ratings. Read size and fit reviews on the store before buying.
FAQ
Is a ₹1,500 puffer jacket warm enough for Delhi winters?
For most Delhi commutes, a padded or puffer jacket over a sweater is enough on typical winter days. For hill trips or very cold mornings, layer a thermal and a fleece underneath. Fill material and weight are often not listed at this price, so check the product page.
Puffer, padded or parka: what is the difference?
A puffer has stitched, quilted sections of fill. A padded jacket is a general term for an insulated jacket. A parka is usually longer (hip or thigh length), often hooded, and covers more of the body.
How do I pick the right size online?
Use the store's size chart and measure a jacket you already own across the chest. If you plan to wear a sweater underneath, consider going one size up. Check the return or exchange policy before you buy.
Why do prices differ from what I see?
Fashion prices change daily and often differ by size and colour. Some stores also show a lower "with coupon" price; we list the regular selling price shown on the day we checked.
